Look, I'm sure that Nolan's adaptation of "The Odyssey" will be fun, but I highly doubt it will be as good as the original.

I can’t co-sign this enough. The South did not learn much from their military defeat such that it allowed them to develop and embrace the Lost Cause manifesto. So much stems from them not receiving the punishment they deserved. That’s why I feel like #appomattoxwasanarmistice

Everyone sat around talking about how these people were incredibly stupid and then they managed to successfully implement large swathes of the plan that they all told us they were going to execute and you really have to wonder who is the stupid in this equation

Wow—
“Government silence is a statement…If the standard for airing a story becomes
‘the government must agree to be
interviewed,’ then the government effectively gains control over the 60 Minutes broadcast. We go from an investigative powerhouse to a stenographer for the state.”

CBS paid the president of the United States millions in bribe money and now they censor news reports so it does not annoy him. I don’t know how much plainer we can put this.

We distributed notecards so people could tell us about the toll in their own words.

i strongly, strongly believe that good writing is downstream of clear thinking and a strong understanding of the subject matter at hand. without fail, tortured writing comes from writers who don’t know and can’t think clearly about anything.
Oh man! This paragraph is brutal. The best thing about this review is it's not trying to be mean. It's just listing how bad the writing is.
