Agree with Gretch. But my pure vibes take is that we won't see Fields ceiling at the Jets. So a fair chance we never will.
Here’s a take no one seems to agree with: Think it’s pretty clear Justin Fields has a higher ceiling than Sam Darnold at a fraction of the cost.
People love to shit on Fields’ weaknesses but few QBs are more dynamic runners and that’s a massive issue for modern defenses to account for.

Jones seemed way more banged up than we thought. Had a fumble and another one which was harshly attributed to Darnold. Inefficient on the ground. One to monitor throughout this week for sure.
Aaron Jones wasn't 100% this week, and he ended up playing about 53% of Minnesota's offensive snaps. Cam Akers played about 37% of them. Ty Chandler played one snap.
