I BEG every smug commentator who praised Mahmood for doing the “tough but necessary thing” to read this.

All the disadvantages of plummeting immigration for the economy & public services, for NO POLITICAL GAIN.

Labour in DESPERATE need of a 180 change of course on immigration

I've spoken quite openly in the past about abuse I have received online and I stopped using X, formerly known as Twitter, last year due to how toxic the platform had become. I know many of my colleagues have suffered similar, and some have had it way worse than me, too.

WH sources say Venezuela's opposition leader committed the "ultimate sin": She accepted the Nobel Peace prize.

“If she had turned it down and said, ‘I can’t accept it because it’s Donald Trump’s,’ she’d be the president of Venezuela today,” one said.

Gareth - I am blaming the government under which race relations have gone backwards and digital hatred has spread unchecked and unpunished for that. Not 'weird' at all.
It is quite weird that you’re attacking Starmer for this interview Stephen. Sorry, but it is.

Innocent people end up in our criminal courts.

Completely, terrifyingly innocent.

And all that stands between them and losing everything is a fair trial.

Politicians would do well to remember this when they tell us that justice is all about processing “criminals” swiftly.

With the peerages announced today, the Prime Minister has now added more peers than they are removing by scraping the 92 hereditary peers. We need a smaller, elected second chamber where the public, not politicians, decide who joins and who leaves. buff.ly/sxfoF5s
Add your name: Tell the PM - No New Lords!
Enough is enough. We need to put a complete halt to new appointments until the house has been properly reformed.
