Min bild av gårdagen är att vi (Europa) sakta ger med oss. Att börja tala om säkerhetsgarantier gör bara den som är på väg att ge efter. Putin skulle aldrig gå med på möte med Zelenskyj om han inte bedömde möjligheterna för framgång som goda. Minst de-facto-kontroll av de fem provinserna.
10 000-kronorsfrågan är om det finns någon hemlig klausul mellan Trump och Putin. Som mästaren Sun Tzu skrev, så är Vilseledning/Svek grunden för all krigföring. Om några timmar vet vi mer.
Jag menar att det blir allt tydligare att Trump kommer försöka tvinga Zelenskyj (och Europa) att ge bort Donbass mot ”säkerhetsgarantier” - som de redan hade sedan 1994. Om Europa visar ryggrad blir det en spricka USA/Europa. Ryssland vinner i bägge utfallen.

An American government is launching a full-scope political & economic assault on an ally repelling an ongoing invasion to compel them to terminate martial law, topple their president, hand over minerals to America & accept a ceasefire w/out security guarantees.

On a positive note, the US has left the chat and is no longer a party to any deals, negotiations, demands, restrictions or deliberations. They have removed themselves from the equation. Good riddance - Europe will take up the slack.
