IMPORTANT - We built EveryDoctor as a doctor-led organisation specifically so that we could avoid being accused of "ideology" when we hold politicians to account. We are doctors, and we base our fundamental aims in science and evidence.

We were deeply disappointed to see Labour announce yesterday..

Well said Tony, we will always be fighting to keep the profit motive out of healthcare because that is the most efficient evidence based thing to do!
Our Co-Chair @drtonyosullivan.bsky.social spoke to Talk TV about the govts latest NHS plans:

"The NHS is constantly in motion & the latest research/tech is brought into practice. However, you can't make major change to a system if it's almost permanently in crisis"

When you hear Starmer’s ‘radical NHS plans’ today, ask yourself why he isn’t prioritising emergency services, when patients are needlessly dying 🚨

(It’s probably because emergency services aren’t attractive to private health companies, so are being left behind)

131,000 social care vacancies in England alone

Let's think why:

🔴 Very poor wages

🔴Lack of career opportunities

🔴 Split shifts with home care companies meaning many work 7am till 10pm

🔴 No travel time or petrol paid by many firms

Why would people choose those employment conditions?!

Why’s this happening?👇
Because politicians have decimated the NHS. EveryDoctor will do everything we can to push politicians to rebuild the NHS, *without* privatisation 🚨🚨🚨

Huge private providers are consolidating operations and chasing the money, leaving NHS patients in dentistry deserts.

It’s a downhill trend towards a two-tier system, where those with money get treatment, and those without reach for a pair of pliers.

Yet another article of this sort, this time from The Times asking if ‘pumping money’ into the NHS is good value. Perhaps these media outlets should start asking if the private management consultants are good value, or pushing to end PFI debt. Doubt they will though 🚨

We keep pumping money into the NHS. Is it good value?
Critics complain that our health service is bloated and inefficient — but the diagnosis is complex, and how does it compare with other countries?

We can rebuild the NHS without privatisation. We do not need to involve private companies in the delivery of patient-facing public healthcare.

The only people who benefit from NHS privatisation are private company shareholders 🚨

Quick reminder that the NHS was built just after the Second World War, when the population had endured unimaginable trauma and the country was broke.

The ‘it’s broken and it can’t be fixed’ line is just political rhetoric. Of course it can be fixed - it’s a question of political will.

Now is the time to restore NHS pay.

Now is the time to end outsourcing in the NHS.

Now is the time to pay of crippling PFI debts.

Now is the time to save the NHS.
