Part of why I walked away from the conservative political and religious beliefs I was raised with was realizing that if you really wanted to use the might of the government to enact Jesus' teachings, you'd make sure everyone had food and housing and access to doctors and... and... and...
A Christlike immigration policy would be the further left policy ever conceived. Free housing and clothing and food for all migrants. A life of dignity. Crazy stuff.
