Lord Dannatt lobbied ministers to crack down on Palestine Action on behalf of a US defence company, Teledyne, that employs him as an adviser. The evidence is growing: the only "consultation" the government listened to on banning the group was the defence industry www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

I’m seeing a lot of outrage about this story but honestly it’s preferable to the old way of doing this which was both disrespectful of the deceased and traumatising for the puppeteer

The police effectively banned one Jewish group from protesting on 'hate crime' grounds because other Jewish groups opposed their politics. None of the press reports bother to mention their protest was outside the home of the Israeli ambassador, which seems relevant www.hamhigh.co.uk/news/2514622...

A trans woman wrote to Wetherspoons to ask which toilets they're meant to use. Wetherspoons replied acknowledging the Supreme Court's verdict...and that trans customers can use whichever loos they want to but to please lock the cubicle door.

Labour now being outflanked on the left by Wetherspoons.

This morning @greenparty.org.uk has called for the EHRC’s harsh and ill-considered guidance on single-sex spaces to be withdrawn. As it stands the guidance puts trans people at risk of discrimination & violence, and clearly hasn’t been drawn up with trans people’s input. I’ll be pushing for better.

It's Trans Day of Visibility on the 31st but trans people don't need just visibility, they need better human rights, and nice treats. Get someone a treat, and then fight alongside them.

For the first time in my adult life, I got to spend the weekend in my own garden, sat in the sun with Vicky and my dog. I repeatedly felt overwhelmed with emotion, I was just so blissfully happy.
This Kurt Vonnegut quote kept buzzing around my head: "If this isn't nice, what is?"
