Absolutely brilliant work from Layla Moran MP in parliament 👏👏👏

THANK YOU for standing up for billpayers and rivers!! 🤩

Keir Starmer must stop defending the disaster that is privatised Thames Water

Ask your MP to join Layla in saying no to the creditors' deal weownit.org.uk/news/is-your...
My residents are sick of being let down by Thames Water. The company is dead in the water.

The PM should deny the £16 billon rescue deal that is about to cross his desk and establish a public benefit company.

I look forward to the opportunity to discuss this further with the Minister.

Annie is right, we need public ownership. Water should not be a commodity any more than air, we need both to live. No profits should be made from the necessary essentials for life. Water is a right.
Our water system is a failure.
"No other country has copied its extreme privatised model. In Paris, the public water operator is an award-winning example of transparency, accountability & integrity...
The only real route to operating water in the public interest is for it to be in public ownership"
Profits and public protection appear to be incompatible.

Yet ANOTHER water bill increase

It's an insult that we're being asking to pay more while our water system collapses around us

This government has promised to tackle the cost of living crisis.

They should begin by slashing water bills through public ownership of water.

The truth is Thatcher's privatisation of our essential assets was

anti patriotic
anti enterprise
NOT supported by voters, including Reform voters today - who want public ownership!

Andrew is right, the problem is here at home in England. No one else is coming to save us and so we must take it upon ourselves to pressure this weak government into nationalising the whole network.

It’s possible, it’s happened before.
Sorry, but can you please stop confusing UK and England. The problems in England's water industry are NOT UK industry problems. Scotland does not have a privatised water industry.

Wales just switched to a not for profit model decades ago. You don’t even have to nationalise - there’s the Glas Cymru/National Rail model of escaping the hell of privatised water.

Let’s MAKE it happen.

We live in a democracy let’s vote with our feet and get out on the streets against private water.

Businesses don’t need to shut down like they did in Tunbridge Wells this month.

Let’s prove our strength against this weak, crumbling structure.

A little push is all it takes.
The privatised water companies want the government to hurry up and abolish Ofwat

How is that going to help?

The government should hurry up and REMOVE their licences, starting with Thames Water *which wants to pollute outside of legal limits until 2040*
