I know it’s a cliche at this point to post this poem- but I do think of it whenever the world seems a little dark

Life is short and the world is at least half terrible, and for every kind stranger, there is one who would break you, though I keep this from my children. I am trying to sell them the world. Any decent realtor, walking you through a real shithole, chirps on about good bones: This place could be beautiful, right? You could make this place beautiful.

My daughter caught me moving the Elf on the Shelf, and I know she's old enough to know who's behind it, but I still felt a bit sad that that bit of magic has been lost now. Christmas is still so beautiful with older kids, but it is different

As the year comes to an end, I'm reposting some of the comics I made this year, including this ridiculous thing.
