China is going to ban exports on "rare earth" minerals, which are essential to electronics systems made around the world. Currently, China controls 95% of the supply of these minerals, possessing a near monopoly on the final refinement process (outside mines must often export ore to China) 1/10

Beijing has suspended exports of certain rare earth minerals and magnets that are crucial for the world’s car, semiconductor and aerospace industries.

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

Running for office on dismantling ICE would be a good example of touch-the-stove politics.

Public opposition probably wasn’t enough when it was mostly warnings. I wish it had been. But now that ICE’s brutality and repression is widespread, undeniable, and in so many social media feeds, it might be.
i really think there is legit political space for running on "we are going to dismantle ICE"
How it started vs. How it’s going NOW 👀

Same argument the British made when the UK convinced the US to help in the overthrow of Mossadegh in Iran in the 1950s.
Trump on Venezuela: "Getting land, oil rights, whatever we had -- they took it away because we had a president that maybe wasn't watching. But they're not gonna do that. We want it back. They took our oil rights. We had a lot of oil there. They threw our companies out. And we want it back."

The cruelty is the point.
NEW: President Trump is expanding the previous 19-country travel ban to a whopping 39 countries (plus the Palestinian Authority), and appears to expand a block on legal immigration to now include spouses, children, and parents of U.S. citizens, who were previously exempted.

Building and living in a house of lies...because to do otherwise would mean admitting your were lying before.
Lying about Trump’s lies about Rob Reiner’s death to perpetuate lies about reactions to Charlie Kirk’s death in service to long-running lies about left and right using a fictional version of Trump to lie for.

The lying is next-level. Previous lies become canon, and living a lie becomes the goal.
