I have a bunch myself.

As a fan of the Tenchi series growing up, my main OC, Alex, has two potential love interests that take a bit of inspiration from there; Rose the Gria and Akemi the Kitsune (Check out the Alt text for that first image, started small, went ham.)

Three characters are sitting on a bench, a young woman with dragon wings, tail and horns smugly looks across to the other young woman sitting across the man in the middle. Said woman is a kitsune with blonde hair, yellow fox ears and a yellow tail, dressed in pretty Japanese style clothes and she appears to be *appalled* by whatever the dragon like woman is insinuated... However due to the colorful and light atmosphere, the conversation has a teasing feel to it, like one friend lightly ribbing each other and the other playing up an offended reaction. The man in the middle, dressed in modern clothes and sporting a monkey tail, appears nervous while also fighting down a smile. Is he trying not to laugh? Is he hoping these two are getting along? For Alex (Middle) after living a portion of his life without a friend in the world, it is *essential* that the two girls get along. After all, he loves and treasures them both. So he secretly cherishes moments like these where he see's the chemistry between his two friends. For Rose (Left), who lived without a family outside of her little sister and being homeless for most of their lives, she loves the two goofballs sitting next to her. She just also loves ribbing the girl on the right due to her gleefully hammy nature. Perhaps poking fun at something silly (and maybe kinda dumb) she did before. For Akemi (right), after having spent most of her life under the thumb of an emotionally abusive mother, the two sitting next to her are her *entire world,* and she would do anything to spend days like this with them forever. She's a silly little thing and she'll do numerous other silly little things, but hey, she's a human and she's also a fox. And both often do silly things. A regal beauty of a Kitsune (A magic fox that grew so powerful it can take human form and have human emotions) wearing black and leggings, a red skirt and ornate sleeves, sporting blonde hair, yellow ears and yellow tail. Akemi's story is largely a mystery to the few friends she has, though they will at least be familiar with the idea of her mother Hisa, who does her best to control near every aspect of Akemi's life for one reason or another. What IS known is that she and Alex first met almost entirely by accident; while in her fox form moving around New York's Central Park, she finds herself caught in a hunter's trap. Though she accepts her fate, she is found that night by a younger Alex who takes pity on the poor fox and releases her from the trap. Ever since that day, Akemi has been hopelessly smitten with the young man, since that kind gesture was, among, one of the very first kind gestures she'd ever been given by anyone outside of her own family. And it was a debt she would eagerly be looking forward to paying back. A fan-made design of Final Fantasy Tactics A2's Gria Race stands in the middle of the frame; short pink hair, yellow horns, draconic wings and a tail only barely poking out behind poofy pants. The outfit is a yellow top with orange sleeves ending in darker orange gloves and topped with a blue collar, a similar shade of blue to the poofy pants below, held in place by two belts and ended with brown boots. Having lost their parents to a judging populace (Read: Angry Mob) during their childhood, Rose and her sister Kiiroi have been on their own for most of their lives. Due to this Rose had to learn all kinds of mean tricks in order to survive, from fighting with an axe, with her barehands and even picking pockets (a practice that gets her in trouble more then once since she's not very good at it). It's only when the two reach their mid to late teen years that they finally find a break given to them... Via a young man beating Rose in a fair contest, both of them being outted as cheaters and needing to defend themselves in the resulting bar-room brawl. From that day forward, Rose has always been grateful to Alex for his help and, as time goes on, that gratitude grows into a genuine love and respect for the young man. Due to both of them having a rough and tumble nature, it's no exaggeration to say that Alex and Rose understand each other better then anyone. A spread of different designs for the same character and one that has been seen before on this Bluesky account. This spread of designs depict the character of Alex Vent in different designs over the course of his adventures. From two modern sets of clothing to a proper adventuring outfit, a business suit and an outright cosplay to depict his playful nature. And lastly, there's Alex, the "Tenchi" to Akemi's "Ayeka" and Rose's "Ryoko". However while Tenchi is a genuinely good guy who is undeniably passive (which is on purpose to make the story more about the girls in his life then himself), Alex is a very active character who knows what he wants and pursues it. A rough and tumble young man from the mean streets of New York, Alex joined up with a strange gang (the details of which are a mystery to his friends) who taught him how to be an adept thief capable of sneaking away all kinds of things, from picking pockets, to snatching purses and even robbing whole trucks without getting caught. However, this life did eventually catch up with him and two close friends paid the price for his crimes and for him associating with entirely the wrong people. Traumatized, Alex ran from it all and somehow found his way to another world... Though that is a story for another time. The point is Alex is a good person *BECAUSE* he's been a bad person before and paid the price for it. Now he desperately wants to be better for the people that are in his life now, constantly reflecting on the life he had before and the life he wants to have now.

there's a surprising amount of pokemon fans who don't really view the main campaign of a pokemon game within the same gameplay and story pacing framework as a traditional jrpg despite most of the mainline games falling pretty cleanly into that. and i'm not entirely sure why?

The Free Speech President has now pulled two of the three major late night hosts off the air through threats and intimidation because of their jokes. Obviously I’m behind Jimmy Kimmel 100% in the face of this fascist garbage. Speech against this admin isn’t just being chilled, they’re freezing it.
