It’s not yet known whether Waymo vehicles were deliberately targeted. This year the LAPD revealed it had obtained footage from a Waymo driverless car as part of an investigation, indicating that they are being used as potential sources of surveillance footage. Waymo has been contacted for comment.

I conducted an analysis of return-in-finally in real world Python code. Just don't do it.

TL;DR:
- it is not used often
- when it is used, it's usually used incorrectly
- code authors find it easy to fix
