i was watching Ultraseven (1967!) and we got to this episode where this old guy builds robot humans to take over society. in the day, he's a toymaker who makes guns with crimson patches. and there's a clear deliberate military motif behind his intent. and then someone said: THIS IS JUST DRAGONBALL Z

In order to put to rest “did they actually use it or not”, Guillaume Broche said it a recent Q&A that they tried AI when the tech was new, but they didn’t like it, it felt wrong to them. And they will not be using it in the future.

Some people may think this is counter to my zero tolerance stance but I’m not gonna swear off a developer for very brief experimentation back before the true scale and perversity of Regurgitative AI was widely acknowledged, especially when the conclusion was “this feels wrong.”

i know the intent was to play nier then nier automata and feel overwhelming emotion when you get to the copied library. but as someone who played nier automata and then og nier after, when you get to the original library in the opening of that game, it's still a fall to your knees and pray moment.
