Like, the Oslo University Hospital pediatric gender clinic workers here committed MASS PRIVACY VIOLATIONS for the gender equivalent of trying to debunk evolution with a method that's already repeatedly been shown to be an artifact of selection bias.

It's a performance of how they're above scientific scrutiny, above accountability to their patients AND to the wider scientific community whose knowledge base they're polluting.

What has happened here is basically that data from the journals was collected for the sake of a "quality control" measure.

Then, that same data was used in published research, a completely separate purpose, without the consent of the people affected.

This is an EXTREME violation of research ethics

Absolutely maddening to be looking at the medical equivalent of "Firefighter caught starting fires" and instead of expecting a trial, I'm worried that calls for these people to lose their jobs will be viewed as "extreme" and "unpleasant" in the "debate" that follows.

If you haven't ever had to apply for IRB approval to conduct human subject research I don't think you can appreciate how profound of a violation of ethical research practices this is. This is information collected from a vulnerable community in a medical context disclosed without consent.
