I didn’t get this posted over here, but yes, normal distribution assumptions are broken by contemporary sampling and weighting practices.
Just because the results cluster does not automatically mean pollsters are being dishonest and you should stop saying that - esp if you know statistics.

Again, editors need to accept they have a choice: Either run *way* more articles about the indicted rapist fraudster who opposes democracy and has a long list of extreme policy positions...or run the same number of critical stories about both candidates and leave their readers woefully uninformed.

Its also just very funny that Dealbook/NYTimes are highlighting Musk, McCarthy and Zaslav as leaders you should pay money to listen to given what happened to Twitter, the House and CBO/HBO in the last year.

One of the things I don’t see discussed enough is what, specifically, the actual Israeli plan is for after the airstrikes/ground assault ends. Okay, to disrupt and destroy Hamas, but then what? I wish more of the coverage would press this point, because it’s crucially important.
