"you spit we hit" #trump discourse in connection with the #LAprotests - a transparent attempt to justify unprovoked violence. People don't spit on cops during protests, mostly because they're not fucking close enough. Plus, you'd have to drown cops in spit for it to pass the body armour. Bullshit

@lwflouisa.bsky.social just wanted to drop you a message to note that Bela Lugosi was ethnically Hungarian, but born in Lugoj county, in present day Romania. He was not Italian, and it doesn't look like he spoke Romanian, however he would have been familiar with it because of where he grew up.

So am I! Romanian, came for Uni - stayed. Been working and paying taxes since 2014. I've supported my British friends&fam through mental health/financial crises, support local businesses and charities and am happy to pay more tax to help raise folks out of poverty.
