We are honestly expected to treat Ukraine allegedly trying to destroy Putins residence as some heinous act when Russia bombs playgrounds, entire theatres holding war refugees, cancer hospitals, high rise civilian buildings and raises entire cities to rubble. It's some sort of sick joke.

What is clear now is that Europe as a whole is just a minor power really. It's opinion is only of interest rather than influential.
As well as having an inefficient and small military in aggregate, it has no power over chips, software, rare earth materials or oil. It is also heavily indebted.

Can genuinely see this happening now. 50 - 60% chance depending on US public reaction.
After this, the EU should absolutely proceed on the assumption that Trump meant what he said about Greenland. Nothing is off the table anymore.
