Day 25 of #DecemberTransReadathon

Song of the Dryads by @b-saxon.femfactory.tech

Probably not going to finish it today as we only got back from my partner's family an hour ago, but this book has been on my to read list for a while.

For all the possible criticism of the film Armageddon, I didn't expect to have the urge to do professional nitpicking... Specifically why the hell are you building your drill rover in an RF anechoic hangar, I'm pretty sure it don't care about its radar characteristics.

Day 24 of #DecemberTransReadathon

First Light by @danifinnwrites.bsky.social

And so here we are, Merry Christmas everyone, good luck to everyone dealing with difficult family, all my love to anyone on their own, and way to go to everyone with their found and chosen families.

Day 23 of #DecemberTransReadathon

Tomb Sweet Tomb by Dani Finn

As promised, Winnie and Crela number 5. I've tried to resist calling books cozy as some people really hate the term and I'm aware I have a somewhat unconventional definition of it, but in this case, sorry it really is just cozy.

I got my gender in a bundle alongside a bunch of zines and journaling RPG and a couple of visual novels.
I got my gender at the dollar store

Day 22 of #DecemberTransReadathon

Untethered by @danifinnwrites.bsky.social

Because finishing off Winnie and Crela on my last few work days in time for the solstice special on Christmas Eve seems like a nice idea.

Did you know that the best time to tell all of your friends that they need a .meow domain was yesterday?
That's okay, the second best time is today :3
Gooood morning Bluesky!

In case you missed it (Friday and Saturday are the cool parts of the weekend, we get it) we launched our Kickstarter!

If you want webdomains that end in .meow to exist and you want to have one yourself, consider:

Day 21 of #DecemberTransReadathon

Valerin the Fair by @riengray.bsky.social

This is probably the most capital E, capital A Erotic Art book I've ever read. It's the first in a series of "sapphic Arthuriana", and it very much has the feel of mythology.

Day 20 of #DecemberTransReadathon

Campus Creatures by @ela-bambust.bsky.social

Right, now we're properly back now (or will be when I finished the last couple of chapters)! Again different from everything else of Ela's I've read, except for great writing and poly relationships those keep coming up.

Finally tried out some of the nail polish I got on my birthday. Hard to convey how different the colour looks depending on light and angle.

Day 17 of #DecemberTransReadathon

Solstice at the Spice Shop by @8bitem.bsky.social

Going with some thematic solstice reading. Falling behind again but there's only 3 days of work left, and this story was absolutely lovely, so I'm excited to have time for reading again.

A reminder for you all, and news to new followers maybe, that I wrote a cool urban fantasy book set in an alternate historical London where magic is tightly controlled and only a chronically unfocused bisexual disaster can stop a deadly political conspiracy.

Day 17 of #DecemberTransReadathon

Maid to Serve by @autumnwolff.bsky.social

So, if you ever need to speedrun a game of egg-bingo, this is definitely the book to do it with. And it's still very full of fun surprises even with the inevitability of the conclusion.

“I am a dog of the king.”

It’s an expression of loyalty and subservience that scholars used when writing to ancient Assyrian kings.

One astronomer named Bel-ushezib introduces himself as “your servant and your dog who fears you” before complaining about being punished for reporting a bad omen.

The European Union is NOT free of criticism, Frontex can go to hell, & the nations that make up the EU will answer for their crimes past and presented, but the fact we went from murdering each other by the millions to indivisible brotherhood in the span of a few decades gives me so much fucking hope

Continuing with the undead theme because it's explicitly inspired by Winnie and Crela (see yesterday entry, and also day 1), except this time post climate apocalypse sci-fi instead of gothic fantasy.
