Plaintiff attorneys also seem to concede that, except for the "female breast area," as the govt. atty put it, the torso is not a sensitive area compared to the head, neck and groin for the purposes of the order.

Oh geez. In my experience, crowds of protesters, neighbors, & regular people are great moving out of the way and making room for someone needing medical attention; rarely do they need to be forced esp by police. It’s often officers and agents who refuse to budge and make things more difficult.

Any munition or weapon can be lethal whether the military industrial complex labels it that way or not. I think we fundamentally disagree abt the level of violence already happening & what’s needed to support those opposing it. I truly hope that stay safe as time continues.

As a protest medic, I don’t judge the tactics ppl use to oppose the state in my work keeping them safe and tending to their injuries. Plain and simple.

Preemptively saying that ppl can prevent fascism from escalating by acting docile & absorbing violence is like saying DV / SA victims can prevent violence by ppl pleasing & acquiescence. It may come from a place of worry but it blames victims and doesn’t prepare anyone for the reality.

I’m not sure if you’re otg in Chicago but 47’s admin is working hard to manufacture the violence needed to escalate thru violence vs protestors, supporters, & community members regardless of their actions. You can admonish all you want but the reality req’s us to be prepared to act strategically.
