It is! The term Corp Criadhach is a generic one for clay witch dolls found in Scotland in general but in this case I was referring to the coffins at Salisbury Crags. Heard the story for the first time on @loremen.bsky.social and did a little digging, fun little story.

Now, there's an idea!
godysseypodcast.com
Scottish witches were said to use Corp Criadhach, or clay corpses, when harming others. The doll, made of clay, would be placed in a moving body of water, preferably under a waterfall, and then fall apart: the intended victim would get sick and die. #LegendaryWednesday

A quintessential fishing story of the one that got away...arms raised chest height and arms extended at least the width of the body...

Thor took a short voyage with Tyr's father Hymir, meant to be a fishing expedition, but the Thunderer knew better. He eschewed gentle seas to fish to the harsh churning waves and used an ox head for bait: he caught Jormungandr the World Serpent, who got away. #WyrdWednesday
An unknown artist's depiction of the final battle between Thor and Jormungandr, showing Thor leaping with a massive, too-long instead of too short handled Mjolnir from a stormy mist into the Midgard Serpent, a massive snake with pointy teeth and a long tongue, with horns all over the serpent's back.

Johnson: "He has defunded our education system. He has defunded our transportation system. He's firing black women across this country. He's defunding our healthcare system. This president is absolutely out of control... Chicago is going to stand firm in protecting humanity."

When it comes to tales about strange things happening on a journey, this one is hard to beat. Being transformed into a human candle so he couldn't return home probably wasn't in this guy's travel plans.

Drop something SKELETAL.
Comic book excerp: A skeleton in a lascive pose with candle around it looks at the reader.
Someone else says : "You need to - that's it - yes. You need to focus. I know it's a lot to take in. It's a lot for all of us."

I think this might just be the way I need to do this:
I am looking to connect w/ an old friend from a play-by-post RPG forum called Mythweavers. They went by the name "Renzel" back then, used to talk all the time before drifting away in college. I'd love to try and get in touch with them again.
