A note for my new followers: my timeline is mostly full of jokes, retweeted artwork, and other opinions. I don't generally talk about politics on my main feed, as people tend to take it as an invitation to argue with me, but I do reply to the threads of like minded people to express my support.

Fury Road has a ton of CG as well, it's just better implemented. The tiny bit of Furiosa which uses the face replacement stuff that I've seen as a result of trailers / clips looks quite bad.
gooberzilla.bsky.social
He already used it in Furiosa to make the lead actor's face look more like Charlize Theron's, which is why I chose to not watch that film. I don't know why Miller's so bad on this front, but he is.

Halloween is great and all, but let us not forget that it is simply the opening to the real holiday

I am going to be really obnoxious this year for November 2nd: Prey Day, the celebration of the release of the Ted Prior film Deadly Prey to video stores in 1987
green image of Ted Prior looking crazed and wielding a machete. there is a helicopter in the background. it says Prey Day 11/2/24

The show seems cute enough, although the pacing is a bit too frenetic to let the gags fully breath, but I think I'll stick with it for another episode or two at least.

Watched the 1st episode of The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess on Crunchyroll. It's another send up of the "villainess" trope, only this time it's a office lady who gets Truck-kun-ed into a fanfic-level world that she created when she was in middle school, so it's mega-cringe as a gag.
A trio of handsome young noble men - Ginoford Dandelion, Yomi Blacksarena, and Sol Nemophila - strike an elegant pose in a scene from the opening animation sequence of The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess TV anime.

Spooky Season `25, Night 12. Wanted something more recent, so I watched Orang Ikan (2024), aka 'Monster Island'. Two P.O.W.s in WWII get ship-wrecked on a deserted island that's the territory of a murderous fishman. Not as good as the concept promises. Underlit in places.
I give it:🐟🐟.5/🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟

Our dark work begins again, Baltimore!

Yeah, it was too much for me.

It had real consequences that were actively detrimental to a "critical / golden path" as far as the game was concerned, but Aethena van Valencius doesn't put up with no Warp-rending bullshit under her watch. 😆

Now, this decision actively punishes me, because I'm down a party member and a crew member who had beneficial skills in ship-to-ship combat. I still stuck with the choice because it just felt correct for my character. They wouldn't treat a dangerous, potentially corrupted unsanctioned Psyker gently.

Nope, sorry Idira, don't care about your tragic back-story, you've loosed horrors of the Warp onto my ship and all you can expect from me is the Emperor's mercy. **racks bolt pistol**

Recently, I've been playing Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, and my character is canonically a dogmatic former commisar, thoroughly bought in to the Imperial cult. One of my choices involved whether to spare / rehabilitate a canonically heretical party member whose Pskyer nonsense endangered the ship.

Only $300 between hunger, shelter, and my kids lives. Don't let us collapse while we call on you. Don't let our voices die. We are now in your hearts. Don't let us down and leave us lost between hunger and oppression. You are love for us.

I watched a movie called SavageLand (2015) last night, and I loved it, but it really pissed me off because it was a dead accurate portrayal of racist ass white people being horrible along the Southern U.S. border. It was downright unpleasant, but that was kinda the entire point.
