Into a little bit of everything. Books, art, photography, museums.
Some of my doctors have gotten into the alcohol. They're slurring, "acting" with accents, often speaking as fast as they can. They enjoy doing this to the transcriptionists.

Arseholes.

Well, since I can't understand what they're saying, I'm sure they won't mind re-dictating it until it's clear.

The 12th-century Romanesque nave at Ely Cathedral rarely steals the spotlight (thanks to that lantern tower), but it’s absolutely jaw-dropping

Thornhaugh Church, Peterborough, when I was giving a talk last month. By day a quiet little country church. But lit at night is glorious. Contains a Russell (ancestor of the Dukes of Bedford) tomb in the south transept (the sticky-out bit this side in the night time shot). Daytime shot older.

30 Dec: Between Christmas and Twelfth Night it is said the Alpine spirit Berchta — her name meaning “bright” or “shining one” — roams the snowy mountains with her a troop of ethereal children, blessing the worthy. Legend says Christmas Roses bloom in the snow wherever she treads.

27 Dec: The 3rd Day of Christmas.
In the carol ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ today brings three French hens, often said to symbolise faith, hope and charity. The song grew from old memory games, first printed in the 1700s; the Twelve Days run from Christmas Day to Twelfth Night.
