As I've noted before, I'm posting career news/updates and retweeting stuff my friends are doing, but I'm not posting other stuff and I'm not scrolling my feed except to find friend news to repost. No substantive engagement at this point. Fortunately most of the people I liked there are now here too.
People absolutely are leaving Twitter and perhaps most importantly, even more are probably doing what I am:
a slow retreat where pretty much all I do there is check my DMs every other day for messages from friends who aren’t active here yet. (And to send over Bluesky codes).

Seems to me like most of the doomers finger-wagging about how Twitter users talk a big game “but aren’t actually leaving the site” are people who barely used Twitter to begin with.
Activity is *strikingly* down from my POV, and I’ve been on there since 2008.
