“We knew very well what we were electing” isn’t a defense of Trump’s actions. It’s an admission of your complicity.
CURTIS: All of us need to wake up every morning & say, 'what am I doing to make immigrants feel welcome' regardless of an individual says

BASH: But he's not just an individual. He's the president calling an entire community garbage

Cruelty is this administration's only animating force.
This is a cruel act of bigotry against an amazing woman who served her country with distinction.

Important for people to know the $75 mil payout from Northwestern to the government didn't turn on canceled grants that broaden participation in stem, physics, promote diversity etc... what this communicates about uni priorities is clear: dailynorthwestern.com/2025/12/03/c...
Northwestern NSF grant terminations leave researchers stuck
Although Northwestern struck a deal with the Trump administration to restore federal research funding, National Science Foundation grants terminated in accordance with executive orders remain unchange...

I've said it before and, sadly, likely will in the future.

If you don't want people to think you're nothing but a political hack, don't act like a political hack.
Again, it's not just the blatant disdain they have for you & me as citizens. It's also the blatant disdain they have for their own colleagues.

We should all start treating them with exactly the same disdain they show for us, their colleagues, the law, & the Constitution.

I don't think the Justices understand the extent to which they are playing with fire. The more they do this, the more District Courts will engage in open disrespect of the Supreme Court, because what other response is there to open disrespect directed at them? That's bad for the Judiciary, period.

This.

I'm most acquainted with the education and research spaces because of my job. The damage done there in the past 10 months will harm a generation in many, many ways and take decades to recover from.

And then there are the federal courts....
One thing about the Biden admin. is that, two or three levels down, there were tons of smart, focused, pro-social people doing great things that never rose to the level of a headline.

Conversely, an enormous amount of the damage Trumpies are doing never makes the news.

I really hope he's right about this. I miss the days when administration leaders and the President didn't talk like a 15 year-old Monster-guzzling gamer on a 12-hour Call of Duty bender
I used to think Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly's blunt, dry style wouldn't play well with an entertainment-addled American public. Now it seems like his fearless bluntness is the perfect antidote to push back against the overcooked rhetoric of Trump and Hegseth. They picked the wrong guy to attack.

"Also we will immediately throw any graduate student TA or instructor who upsets an influential constituency under the bus, no matter how obviously manufactured their outrage is." 🤷‍♂️

The data would almost certainly look similar in most states--both the overall number and the list of companies at the top. Maybe flip the top two, swap Albertsons for Kroger and a local health services company in Ohio
The Boston Globe identified the companies in Massachusetts that employ the most SNAP recipients. A key stat: "In Massachusetts, 74% of working-age recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are employed, half of them full-time."

Assuming every boat Trump and Hegseth blew up contained the amount of drugs they claim, Hernandez was responsible for bringing more drugs into the US than every one of them had combined. By far. And yet, Trump murders 80+ people and counting while pardoning the narco kingpin.
