Thank you @indivisible.org . I demand a party that fights and this isn't it. Waiting for my senators @cantwell.senate.gov and @murray.senate.gov to demand @schumer.senate.gov steps down as leader.

What can we do about this?!!!! @indivisible.org

cops tackling and marching off with a giant penis, Kristi Noem menacing a chicken she swears is antifa, feds pepper-spraying a frog

ridicule is an extremely effective protest tactic and foil for authoritarianism
Well, you can finally cross “I’ve seen a handcuffed, inflatable penis” off your bucket list

Cries of Defiance and Songs of Joy in Los Angeles
The protesters are being called unspeakably violent by the Trump administration. I mostly saw clergy sit-ins and Tejano bands.

Remember, we are considered "the help" at best in the minds of the oligarchs.
This seems like a great day to remind Bluesky that Stephen Miller lived four doors down from me freshman year

And our student council person asked him (and everyone) to sign a birthday card for our dorm’s janitor

And he threw a tantrum and wrote an op-ed about not socializing with “the help.”

Holy shit, this is horrifying.

Today and every day we stand with @seiuca.bsky.social and our immigrant friends and neighbors.
Let’s be clear: ICE injured and detained the president of SEIU California for peacefully observing.

ICE picked the wrong side. The wrong state. The wrong person. and the wrong union. David Huerta stood up. And now 750,000 SEIU workers are standing up behind him.

SEIU California | SEIU California President David Huerta Injured, Detained at ICE Raid in Los Angeles
We are proud of President Huerta’s righteous participation as a community observer, in keeping with his long history of advocating for immigrant workers and with the highest values of our movement…

Rep DeLaura (D-CT) “ You want a government so broken, so dysfunctional, so starved of resources, so full of incompetent political lackeys and bereft of experts and professionals that its departments and agencies cannot feasibly achieve the goals and the missions to which they are lawfully directed."

Finally someone is saying it 1/2. Rep Rosa DeLaur0 (D-CT): “Be honest, this is never about government efficiency. In fact, an efficient government, a government that capably serves the American people and proves good government is achievable is what you fear the most."

"We matter and we are worthy of respect"! Yes!
Republicans have just proposed defunding Planned Parenthood nationwide.

In doing so, they are telling women and people across the country that our healthcare doesn’t matter and that we are undeserving of care.

It’s time to stop this bill in its tracks.

Contacted my senators @cantwell.senate.gov and @murray.senate.gov Vote no on S394.
We're hearing rumors that Ds have worked out a deal to allow a cloture vote (ie, give up their leverage to stop the bill) in exchange for a vote on an amendment (which will fail).

That's not acceptable. We need real opposition to Trump's corruption, not procedural gimmicks. Call your Senators now:
TODAY: We need every Senate Democrat to vote no on a crypto bill that would enable Trump to keep accepting bribes from billionaires, corporations, and foreign governments. We can block S.394 if Democrats unite in opposition, but they’re not there yet, so make sure your senators hear from you ASAP. 👇
