More Irish activists have now been taken by the IDF from international waters including author Naoise Dolan, TD Barry Heneghan and psychiatrist Veronica O’Keane.

They are part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition.

A small fire at the front of the bookshop was started last night after rubbish bags that were awaiting collection were set on fire. The guards don’t have reason at this time to believe it was a targeted attack. Thankfully the damage was limited and everyone is safe. We are open for business as usual

One of the interesting things highlighted in this election is the one dimensional view of "shared island" in some quarters. Are not Irish speakers part of this island too? Should reconciliation not involve engaging with republicans as well as loyalists? How does direct provision fit with sharing?

It's also interesting to read him assert that the majority of people in Ireland won't be amenable to Connolly's socialism, given that we currently have an incredibly popular president, the most popular of my lifetime, who is a massive fucking socialist and won't keep quiet about it.
