A dark Christmas tale that goes places I did not expect. Genuinely creepy folk story that at times gave me Amblin vibes with a terrific moody score. Somehow it simultaneously feels older than time and modern in its views capitalism. The ending is possibly the greatest thing I’ve seen this year.
