I mean, the saddest thing here is that if I had any reason to believe you were arguing in good faith, we could probably have a really interesting discussion on the *insufficiency* of diversity and inclusion initiatives in modern media. Disney promising over and over that we'll get a lesbian Disney Princess and then just... not doing that. Fuck, Disney promising over and over that we'll get genuine queer rep in *any* major Disney property and then just... not doing that. Disney cancelling the Owl House. Disney being a cynical megacorporate doom engine that exists only to make money and gobble up every intellectual property. Disney endlessly queerbaiting us only to never actually deliver, and then censor the one fleeting man-on-man kiss in Beauty and the Beast in the Chinese release when it turned out they didn't even need to. God, man, I could talk for fucking hours about that shit. We could talk about how the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has all but eliminated the mid-budget movie, meaning that the only movies we get are either box-ticking multi-hundred-million-dollar dreadnoughts that have to make ten bazillion dollars at box office or everyone gets fired, shoestring indie cinema flicks or... slop! We could talk about how the proliferation of streaming services has essentially gutted the TV industry by shortening season runs, which overcompresses plots and flattens character development. We could talk about how the proliferation and increasing dominance of social media has led to writers writing for clickbait plot twists over coherent storytelling. We could talk about how obsessive fan culture has destructively bled into the creative process, causing showrunners to try and please "the fans" instead of writing a good story.

People are complaining about inclusion, progressiveness and diversity in Star Trek, a media franchise that was inclusive, progressive and diverse from the very first day it ever showed. It had a multicultural cast, it was set in a post-scarcity post-capitalist society that had abolished racial and gender divides, and its core premise was that the Enterprise was on a mostly-peaceful mission of exploration and discovery not for the purposes of territorial expansion but for peaceful coexistence and the furthering of sentient knowledge. If you wanna talk about ideology destroying the core premise of a media franchise, we could talk about how Rambo started out as a story about a troubled, mentally ill war veteran getting beaten and humiliated by corrupt, abusive cops, but somehow turned into relitigating the Vietnam War and running guns for the Mujahideen in Afghanistan. But I don't know if a deeply depressing exploration of how military service traumatizes and immiserates soldiers who then return home to a country they no longer fit into and which doesn't respect their sacrifice somehow morphing into "... to the brave Mujahideen fighters of Afghanistan" would fit into your narrative.
