One of my most self-defining paintings was the skull study I did at night.

Computers weren't very mobile and iPads weren't the thing yet. So I sat with my Nintendo 3DS in my bed and painted the scene before me.

It's a rather peculiar thing I used to do - painting skulls.

"Forest Attendant" Black-Capped Chickadee 5"x7" Oil on panel

Chickadees are wonderful in so many ways. They're often the first birds to investigate a new situation, and other birds watch & follow them to find food sources. The friendly local 'dees often bring other birds to my yard, to my delight.
