oh ALSO especially loved being accused of shouting at my manager (complete with a "wow are you okay, do you need to go calm down") for the simple crime of *checks notes* my voice cracking at the same time as being startled and therefore answering louder than usual. and again, no explanation accepted
anyway I am increasingly becoming frustrated with these damn normies consistently misreading my "I want to know why [x] is a thing" with defiance/shrewdness/whatever. and whenever I try to explain myself I'm talked over, gaslit, made to sound like I'm just making shit up and being an ass on purpose
