This pops up on healthcare facility policy documents, too. You know, where specific details are important.

TL;DR shouldn't be the default mode for any profession.
Just opened a 14 page brief in Adobe Acrobat and it gave me a popup saying "this appears to be a long document, would you like an AI summary?" and I feel like a whole bunch of Gen Z lawyers are gonna lose their licenses if law schools don't warn them about this shit.

You know what's driving up the price of car insurance in New York? All those out-of-state plates you see on cars of people who clearly live here.

The devastation I feel about this attack on science in particular is hard to cope with. It’s like watching my dad die all over again. I would do anything to spare someone a death via pancreatic cancer.
A tiny trial in New York has shown that personalized mRNA vaccines can provoke massive, lasting immune responses against pancreatic cancer, even as sweeping federal cuts now threaten the fragile labs required to produce them.

And now this is happening.

The amount of rage I have at the world for living through the pandemic and coming out the other side as stupid as possible is literally indescribable.

We need to talk about how willingly Americans guzzled anti-vaccine nonsense, both for COVID and childhood shots. I am not hopeful for the future of our country when the majority are so goddamn willingly ignorant.

This is entirely anecdotal, but jfc, subway reliability has been awful recently. Every damn trip is packed and delayed.

After ousting the BLS director and scrapping the October jobs and inflation reports, Trump is now canceling release of the advance Q3 GDP estimate.

Trump doesn't mind turning the lights off on the economy because he’d rather Americans not know how badly it’s doing under him.

It's hard to feel hopeful today. I'm remembering the joy and hope we had on election night in 2008 and seeing that same optimism in young people today. It's hard to not be pessimistic and anticipate their disappointment. Obviously I'd prefer a better future, but I wouldn't bet money on it.

Unbelievable.

As in, literally, not credible.
RAJU: Last week you were very critical of Biden's use of the autopen. But Trump admitted on 60 Minutes to not knowing he pardoned a crypto billionaire who pleaded guilty to money laundering. Does that also concern you?

MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know anything about that. I didn't see it. I'm not sure.

There needs to be a term for that specific feeling when a ridiculous video is in my feed and I want to comment something snarky to the brand but then I remember that the person responsible for making and posting that video is another parent in my kid's class and that's why I'm following that page.

There was a lot of trauma during the pandemic response (my therapy copays are proof of that) but I do miss when people actually washed their hands and wiped their phones regularly. That was nice.
