Beatles fan, grumpy old man.

I am just as fed up with left-wing purists as I am right-wing radicals. Both are committed to making our lives a living hell.

This is the best speech, just from a pure rhetoric perspective - its sophistication and persuasiveness - that I've seen a politician deliver in a good long while. Really recommend watching or reading the whole thing.
A YouTube link for those looking for it. No words.

It's not debatable that a mentally disturbed person has the nuclear codes. The Republicans know they're endangering us all by leaving him in office. This is a betrayal of every person on Earth. It is a crime against humanity.

I can still recall all the tut-tutting from the media when Harris made this argument.
Kamala Harris at her closing campaign rally:

"Donald Trump intends to use the United States Military against American citizens who simply disagree with him."

70% of ICE detainees have no criminal convictions, according to govt data.

Don’t fall for Trump’s lies about targeting the “worst of the worst.”

As ICE terrorizes cities to fill up detention centers, remember that some of Trump's major donors are private prison corporations.

per my point about the mercator projection being the root of this whole thing
Why is Trump fixated on Greenland? @sbg1.bsky.social recalls what he told us in 2021: "I said, 'Why don’t we have that?' You take a look at a map...I love maps. And I always said 'Look at the size of this, it’s massive and that should be part of the United States.'" www.newyorker.com/news/letter-...
Why Donald Trump Wants Greenland (and Everything Else)
There’s no Trump Doctrine, just a map of the world that the President wants to write his name on in big gold letters.

The reason for Trump's illegal military action in Venezuela is his private business interests in oil. Maduro being a dictator is not an issue for him. Don't credit this malicious grifter with benevolent reasons for his illegal actions. He only weaponizes the military for himself.

Their messaging is so fucking incoherent. Maduro was an illegitimate leader who lost in 2024, which is why we're replacing him with his VP instead of the person who won in 2024. We did this to stop fentanyl, which is why he's indicted for cocaine.

We're also occupying Venezuela via Zoom call.

Just curious: where would the Gazans live?
Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law, is described as an "investor" and "developer" in this project into which more than $91 bn in US taxpayer funds are to be channeled. This is a straightforward violation of US anti-corruption legislation, as the NYC bar has noted in a report.
Trump reps draft $169 billion plan to develop Gaza into a 'smart city' with luxury resorts
Trump administration reps have just revealed a grandiose $112 billion (AUD $169 billion) plan to rebuild war-torn Gaza into a futuristic international destination dubbed “Project Sunrise.”

A nice thread in which an actual expert patiently explains why the Secretary of Health and Human Service is not simply a liar, but an especially stupid one.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has stated that the 1918 flu pandemic was caused by a lab virus from vaccine research, a defective influenza vaccine. Let’s analyze what a lie this is. First, in 1918, 107 years ago, virology was in its infancy
