Finally gotten into a proper routine where I work on my game one day a week. Turns out the secret was motivating myself the same way I do my cats. With snacks.

Didn't watch a lot of tv shows last year, but here are my favorites from 2025 (in no particular order).

Just finished up the last work of the year for my clients, so now I look forward to catching up on some amazing games during my Christmas break. Even though I probably won't be able to play even half the ones I want because there's just too many interesting games out there.

I wish Steam would wait with the replay until the year is actually over, but I'm proud to continue my streak of having "cats" as one of my most played tags every year.

I am 100% pro Larian doing whatever pervert shit it wants and I can’t wait for another game where you can like, fuck a squid or whatever, but it really does further drive home the two-tier system of enforcement on storefronts. Bg3 contains basically everything small games get banned for

It’s not Larian’s fault but it chaps my ass that because they’re Larian they can have a trailer with a full on orgy in it in the middle of the Game Awards and meanwhile adult content in games everywhere else is getting cracked down on left and right.

at a certain level of any creative or intellectual collaborative job the main task is sin-eater: to fix what you can and get blamed for what you can’t, secretly knowing how much worse it would have been if you hadn’t done what you did.

Why do all these apps want to wrap my year before the year is even over. Don't do the month of December dirty like that.

Bought some new films.

Really enjoyed the novella But Not Too Bold by Hache Pueyo. Great gothic horror vibes and the sapphic romance with a humanoid spider is both alluring and disturbing.

My cats are thrilled about this because it means I'll be spending more time with them on the couch rather than in front of my computer.

A note about the TGAs worth remembering as this Future Class story unfolds: it’s a marketing beat, consumer-facing, and voted on by media/influencers. Developers are, by design, not included or considered in the structure. Which feels bad! www.polygon.com/explained/49...

It’s the press and fans, not game devs, who vote on The Game Awards

One of the horrors of being a freelancer that isn't talked about enough is having to spend way too much time scrolling through LinkedIn while looking for opportunities.
