I did a course with the Health Innovation Network locally which gave cpd points. Might be worth exploring with your local network.
NHS England used to run a course @acserrao76.bsky.social can you help?

Completely agree. Have a son with LD who has had his surgery cancelled. So much went in to preparing him and it's completely thrown him. Has a huge impact on him and us as his unpaid carers
helenhassell.bsky.social
This also impacts me as his unpaid carer. I'm already exhausted from the preparation that has gone in to ensure he's ready and keep him safe. Another month of elongated stress and no sleep to come

Strikes tomorrow mean my son's surgery has been cancelled. He's an incredibly stressed young man with learning disability who has built up to this surgery all week. Seizures ⬆️and now has to reset to a new date in 4 weeks time.Remember unseen impact on patients when striking @rachel-p.bsky.social

We need to hear from as many carers as possible to help shape our future policy and campaigning work.

Please take our survey and tell us what needs to be done: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QNPDKV2?utm_source=bluesky&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign&utm_content=ap_4yly8ojbkk

NHS 10-Year-Plan is out!📣

We are pleased to see the ambition for carers to be actively involved in care planning and welcome the new section for the NHS app called ‘My Carer’.

Without carers the healthcare system would collapse we must see them supported in all areas
Red background with a quote in white text: “For this plan to be a success, we must see the same transformation and investment for social care to protect carers’ health through respite breaks, as well as their ability to juggle work and care.” Attributed to Helen Walker, Chief Executive, Carers UK. Carers UK logo is in the bottom left corner.

It's #CoProWeek25

This year’s theme is Innovation through Co-production. A reminder that when people with lived experience shape solutions, we get innovation that works.

Looking forward to the activities this week as we continue to work towards people being at the heart of care and support.

Really interesting to read this

Adult ADHD assessment services in the UK face inconsistent data collection, hindering national planning. Standardised data is essential to improving waiting times, service delivery and outcomes.

Unpaid carers contribute the equivalent of four million paid care workers to the social care system.

Without them, the system would collapse.

But over the past 10 years, the number of carers receiving support has decreased – find out more in Social Care 360:

Uclh are amazing! I have a very needle phobic adult son who needed to be admitted to national hospital for neurology and neurosurgery. They went above and beyond to ensure they knew what mattered to him and did bloods under GA too whilst having surgery

Amazing to see in the blueprint for ICBs that working fully with people and communities is vital. Really pleasantly surprised to read the document and see how often coproduction and codesign feature. Hopefully the ICBs will develop plans that reflect this

Amongst many issues with this whole process is the point that there are no perfect footprints for NHS organisations. We do not live our lives in neat boxes, and wherever a boundary is put there will be cross border issues. We'd make so much more progress if we could pick a structure and stick to it.

And maybe because so often social care is seen as an adjunct to the NHS, something to get frail older people out of hospital, rather than as it should be, the support which enables people - including those frail older people - to thrive in their community.

Love this. So seldom that we hear about social care as support to be and do the things that matter to us. Maybe because so often it isn’t offering us that? www.bbc.com/news/article...
