You can quit your job if and only if your comic is making enough money to sustain you. Maybe if you're a trust fund kid or something, but if that's the case, you've got bigger problems, like trying not be evil.

- Be consistent and work to constantly improve.
- Host your work on a website you own.
- Your first comics should be SIMPLE and not the biggest, grandest epic you've been cooking for years.
- The work has to speak for itself.

It’s why I know the “finally, someone like me can make art” AI users are full of shit. What they really mean is “finally, a way to get social media likes without hard work”.

She not only had a booth this weekend, but was actively moving one of her kids to college DURING all of this. It would’ve been so easy to say she didn’t have the spoons to do something but she put herself in front of security and police, acted as our voice, and tirelessly championed artists.
