I do hope that the book secretly is a defence of pedantry, for the title of our times would be more like "On Idiocy. A Cultural History of Spiteful Morons and How to Beat Them"

Brilliant, and impossible not to love the cover 😍

If only 1% of all academics will get this for Christmas Arnoud will be a rich man.

Hallo allemaal.

Yes, thankfully I stumbled on that route. But there's no safe way to stay

You need to agree to the new terms once you enter, so you're only safe if you've never uploaded any work or personal information 🫣

I guess I have been irresponsibly late to read Academia's terms of use. But now I did.

I'll delete my account immediately.

If you're as lazy as I am and you're still there: read them.

Yes. And they are looking eerily alike as well

Thanks! But that seems to be only for US authors? Should we cook up another claim?

I'm in there with all sorts of work under different copyrights. But I guess they're in violation even when you published in #OA under a CC-BY NC licence, aren't they?

Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.

I'd love to help bankrupt OpenAi 😈

Oh I'm in there. Do you know how to claim?

Pritzker: "Any rational person who has spent even the most minimal amount of time studying human history has to ask themselves one important question: once they get the citizens of this nation comfortable with the current atrocities committed under the color of law, what comes next?"
