Can “normal people” get a verification of any sort? Or is it just for notable / important / official accounts?

I started out as one of the first thousand BlueSky users, and I don’t have a private domain, so my importance could very well be in my eyes only. 😂😂😂

the cool thing about verification on ATProto is that its linked to your DID, which is basically the custom fingerprint proving you're you

you can migrate your account where you want and as along as your DID doesn't change, you can be re-verified!

(its easier when you have a custom domain for sure)

I infer that the bluecheck is a bit of info provided by Bluesky that the Blacksky servers can read, but it's associated with the username you had when Bluesky assigned it. Not sure what happens if you don't have a custom URL username and migrate to a Blacksky server; might end up with a gray check?
