Gefen moved to Australia a couple of years ago from Israel. Chaya Dadon, 14 years old, protected others with her body. Along with brave Ahmed al-Ahmef, they represent the best of people.
A couple of weeks ago, I was walking to work and made eye contact with a boy around twelve. He gave me the most beautiful smile and I smiled back. That small event still warms my 💙

Social justice, equal rights and equal pay, environmental protections, racial equality, respect and recognition for Indigenous peoples, equal educational opportunities, a fair wage for a fair day's work, support for disadvantaged people. These were some of the issues of the left when I was young.
