I've been full-go with my (indoor) cycling and Zwift bike/app over the past few months, enjoying the rides and getting better on routes and racing. And today's La Vuelta stage that ends on L'Angliru is a reminder as to why indoor virtual cycling is where I'll continue to live.

In less depressing news, I’ve fully switched from running to indoor cycling. And now I’m fully in the Zwift world - loving life as a mediocre cyclist in that very international virtual cycling world.
Now that the Tour de France has started, it’s just a full cycling geek out this month😄

I’ve been trying to make the most of the vacation days locally. But nothing is going to replace missing my chance to see Babymetal playing at Sunmerfest tonight.

Making ricotta chocolate chip cookies for the office tomorrow and adding in a bit of orange to brighten up the batch. Past me was a bastard and put an empty bottle of orange extract back in the pantry. Thankfully, current me still has some Cointreau to use as an "orange-flavored alcohol" back-up.

Did my first ever conference presentation today, and it went over well? Had a few people come up afterwards to tell me they enjoyed it and got value out of it, so I guess I'll call it a success.

Booked the hotel for a vacation this summer. Still have to book the flight/rental car, but finally forcing myself to commit to an actual vacation this year. Haven't planned an actual vacation since 2020, so hopefully things don't completely go to shit again this go around?
