We here at The District Press are delighted to have started working with Jason Taylor, who has been providing us with matchday photography of Spirit games. You may have seen his work from such hits as a recent Instagram story from Trinity Rodman in which she shared his photo of a challenge she suffered in the box (along with select and quite frankly correct commentary).

The Washington Spirit did it again. In fact, Rose Kouassi did it again. A frustrating second half, which included a 95th equalizer from San Diego Wave, was turned around with yet another moment of late game heroism from the Spirit. They probably shouldn't have been in the situation, but were spared a week of thinking about the points that got away when a Rose Kouassi cross (shross/crot) found the back of the net in the 98th minute.

The forward’s cross late in stoppage time winds up in the net for the game-winner in a 2-1 victory at Audi Field.
