It all started many years ago when that Jack guy rolled out Twitter to the public. That was the beginning of the end

I really wish someone would actuate an EMP or similar silent nuke that would instantaneously brick every single smartphone on the planet (and leave all the other devices alone). This should be our new Manhattan Project; this should be where we focus all our scientific effort

I'm periodically tickled by the fact that it was only a fucking sliver of time ago when the preferred way of procuring ice was to have a guy cut it out of a lake for you.

One of my many exciting talents is constantly finding novel locations on my hands to accidentally bash in with a hammer and/or punching tool

Is there a convenient shorthand term for "the type of song upon which, anytime I hear it pop up in a mixtape or playlist, I have to immediately drop whatever I'm doing and go find its album and play the entire disc through"?

But then who would steal 30% of my money directly out of my paycheck and redirect it to various unvetted grifters and pet projects? No thank you; I'd much prefer to keep this function in the public sector. If privatized, the number would be more like 300%
You know, maybe we just shouldn't have a government

Run out of natural problems to solve. Just for fun, fabricate new problems out of thin air. Pretty good species we've got going here

Meanwhile, Amazon has essentially become a more expensive Aliexpress - everything is MTO or drop shipped straight from China. wtf are we doing? What happened to "shop local", "support small business", "buy America", all that? Nobody wants to pay what it takes; we just want our sloppa
Wow, hard to believe that manufacturing is down when everybody is poor as shit and can't afford to buy any finished goods. There are consequences for having printed infinite money to allow the Water Cooler Class to stay at home during Covid (the people with real jobs still had to keep showing up)
The US continues to lose manufacturing jobs—payrolls are down 81k over the last year, & another 5k jobs were lost in November

Transportation (especially auto manufacturing), wood & electronics/electrical manufacturing are the biggest losers, but few subsectors are doing well
