I mean honestly, it *does* explain how elite backlash against MeToo was about as intense as the reaction to 9/11.
My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

I'm actually a little shocked how quickly the de minimus ban impacted me. I didn't think of myself as a frequent online shopper outside of Amazon stuff.

I still think deep decarbonization scenarios have a hole that's vaguely shaped like nuclear power but the size of that hole is shrinking and I'm not sure the nuclear industry will be able to fill it before something else does

Nostalgia bit me so I'm going through some Command and Conquer games in chronological order.
And I love that they remastered Tiberium Dawn but man. A remake (with updated gameplay) would have be so cool.

At this point I'm pretty convinced we should do some kind of ranked choice/approval voting for primaries. Limiting people to just one vote in a multi-candidate field creates toxicity.
it's very funny how liking bernie sanders, AOC, and basically the average left-dem is basically the median dem voter position and yet you have weirdly strident haters on here
