Keep growing up. Contrary to popular belief, you're not done at 18 (or even 25). There's still time to become the adult of your dreams.
If you’re over 30, quote this with some life advice 🤌🏼

There’s a book that just came out I’m looking forward to reading: Other Networks by Lori Emerson. It looks at ways people can communicate & organize other than the internet we have today. shop.mexicansummer.com/merch/495898...

God yes. The first thing to get over is that there’s always going to be a gap between your skills and your tastes. No matter who you are, it’s true.

Honestly, that tension, that unrest, can be good. Walking is just controlled falling. So are creative endeavors, especially when you’re learning.
This can be one of the biggest mental blocks to starting creative work—you want to write, but your words don’t come out like your faves. You want to draw, but your lines aren’t nice like the pros. Well no shit, 1) they come out like you (which is good!) and 2) everyone’s rough to start. Practice.
And I have never been able to write like the people who inspired me--I am nothing like Tolkien, Adams, or King. But I am so grateful that they helped me become myself.

The future is a web of branching paths, and each choice opens up new possibilities as it closes others. This is as true for a civilization as it is for an individual. The more our collective intelligence can inform each choice, the better our chances of finding paths through to a beautiful future.
