Proud of Colorado's election officials. This is seriously good to see.
NEW: Colorado’s county election clerks (majority Republican) implore Gov Polis (D) not to release Tina Peters to the Trump administration. Their joint letter says it would be a slap in the face to clerks who endure threats due to Peters’ election rigging conspiracy theories.

The neighbor girl said out loud what I’m sure many HOAs would love to say about my front yard. Good thing I don’t have an HOA.

Whoa, actual resistance? You love to see it!
My Democratic colleagues and I just left the state of Texas to break quorum and stop Trump’s redistricting power grab.

Trump is trying to rig the midterm elections right before our eyes. But first he’ll have to come through us.

It’s time to fight back.

It's now a 'little' more:

143 people burned alive in a Tesla
(And I'm running behind)

PS: Nissan Leaf, on the road since 2009: zero burned alive
(Best sold EV model worldwide on 1-1-2020)
On Twitter my entire 133+ thread of all documented 'Burned alive in my Tesla' cases is now .. completely & deliberately fucked up

No one can even view it anymore. And I was the only one keeping track

So I just published that, along with this spreadsheet #TeslaFire

When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

I want to laugh at this because "haha Tesla fails again, Musk is bad at his job." But the truth is it's dystopic. The Tesla totally ignores the bus with flashing lights and stop sign.

If this tech can't perfectly follow clear traffic laws, what are we even talking about? It failed step 1.
“Tesla’s driverless ‘robotaxis’ could launch in Austin as soon as June 22. But a demo in Austin today showed a $TSLA, manually driven to test its Full Self-Driving system, failed to stop for a child-sized dummy at a school bus—and hit it.”

A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.

They’re not going to get out of this by playing semantics.

Sending detailed information about an upcoming military strike on unclassified channels (and even to the wrong guy) is wrong, reckless, and obviously a threat to American troops.

In a nutshell:

— The Espionage Act contains a provision that criminalizes the disclosure of national secrets through gross negligence.

— The law does not require that the info be classified, it refers simply to national defense information.

Arrest them. Immediately.

A jury has convicted two men of plotting to assassinate Iranian American journalist Masih Alinejad at her home in New York City in a murder-for-hire scheme that prosecutors said was financed by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The regime placed a $500,000 bounty on Masih’s head.

POTUS: "well I-we are the Federal law"

As much as I hate hearing his voice and I'm sure you do as well, listen to this. He had to _stop himself_ from saying "I am the law".
Gov. Mills: I’ll comply with the state and federal laws

Trump: We are the federal law. You better do it because you’re not going to get any federal funds.

Gov Mills: See you in court

Call it a Nazi salute, cowards. He's a Nazi. Musk is a Nazi. POTUS is a Nazi because he endorses this. Call it what it is.
Steve Bannon whipped up the CPAC crowd by talking about the possibility of Trump staying in office for a third term—and concluded his speech by giving a provocative gesture that resembled the controversial salute Elon Musk gave at a post-inauguration rally last month.
Steve Bannon Mimics Elon Musk’s VERY Controversial Salute
The president himself has suggested the idea of staying in office many times since moving back into the White House.

One thing I want to see discussed a lot: is the "swing" due to underlying currents, per the original post, or is the "swing" due to voter apathy? How do we combat apathy? One answer might be what Ken is alluding to below.
Seriously though. The notion that you can win votes from people who say “pronouns in email signatures made me mad so we should leave NATO” by trying to please them is ridiculous.
Any Dem acting like we need to push further right needs to be tossed immediately. Harris lost, but not by as much as people are saying.

Anyone talking like this has always wanted to be more conservative and now they have an excuse. Fuck off.
