i think what makes zohran so compelling even outside of nyc is that he seems like the real deal and the establishment fucking hates him for it. he's a rallying cry for democracy in the biggest city in the country against fascists and fascist enablers. it feels existential in a way that bernie didn't

A US-born citizen was walking near Chicago in January. ICE snatched him off the street, handcuffed him, threw into a van. His wallet, which contained his ID, was confiscated. He was detained for 10 hours before being released without a record of what occurred.

Just learned about this app called Pointz which is like a specialized navigation app for biking. Taught me a much safer way to cross between Montrose and the Austin St bikeway here in Houston. Highly recommend! www.bikepointz.com

Rice Village would be Houston’s paradise if even half of the strip malls had additional 2-5 floors of housing, with at least one side of each street having extended sidewalks right to the curb. Roads wouldn’t even need to be fully pedestrianized (though Kelvin and Morningside absolutely should be)
