Hi, I’m Ian, I’ve written stories for games for twenty years. Mostly for #Ubisoft ( #Avatar, #TheDivision, #TheCrew, #GrowHome). I mostly chat about films, TV, cats and food.
Good luck, Splash Damage folks.

one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

Loving comic book superheroes has prepared me pretty admirably for getting older.

I’m the same character but my backstory has got a lot more convoluted.

Being a northerner I have a healthy suspicion of London.

Being here feels like standing slightly too close to an Elephant. I’m a little wary, a little in awe, not quite sure how to behave but styling it out.

It’s widely known (and, I think, pretty uncontroversial) that learning requires effort — specifically, if you don’t have to work at getting the knowledge, it won’t stick.

Even if an LLM could be trusted to give you correct information 100% of the time, it would be an inferior method of learning it.
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

Having Johnson & Cummings in Downing Street when Covid struck was, just like Brexit, an entirely avoidable disaster caused largely by utterly appalling journalism. And now exactly the same clowns, arses & bigots with bylines are rolling out the red carpet for Farage.

There were 93 homicides in London last year: population 9 million

In New York - population 8.5 million - there were
391.

London's homicide figure is 6 times lower than LA, 9 times lower than Miami, 17 times lower than Chicago.

And it's falling year on year despite the population increasing

If I ever start a religion I’ve got the soundtrack covered.

Happy Sunday.
Obligatory Blade Runner patch I made on the Alesis Andromeda synthesizer.

This synth can replicate the architecture of the Yamaha CS-80 very well since it can add sine waves post-filter, used here, just like the CS-80. It also features the famous ribbon cable.
