It has been a year since the fires in Southern California last January.

Trump lied to disaster victims – federal aid still has not come. He's punishing people because of where they live, including the many Republicans who live in Southern California.

We need to deliver this aid immediately.

WITNESS: "I just can't let this narrative of self-defense go any further. That’s absolutely not what it was… ICE agents didn’t let anyone help her for 15 minutes, then medics couldn’t get through with their ambulance.”

One year after the devastating Eaton & Palisades fires, we’re still waiting for the White House to release funding that families desperately need to recover.

The fight is far from over, but @padilla.senate.gov and I are working everyday to make sure Californians get the assistance they deserve.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped spread the word. Thousands of Minnesotans gathered tonight for a vigil honoring Renee Good, who was murdered by ICE agents. Let’s get ICE out of MN!

You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.

This could be you.

The killing of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good is a gross abuse of power. However, President Trump has decided that the victim, Ms. Good, is the criminal, setting the stage for no charges to be filed—or a pardon if there is a federal conviction. #JusticeforReneeGood

We strongly condemn the deadly shooting of a Minneapolis resident by a federal immigration enforcement officer during an ICE and CBP operation. Our hearts are with the victim and their loved ones, and with the Twin Cities community that is once again being terrorized by federal immigration raids.

The woman killed by ICE today was a poet. She won the 2020 Academy of American Poets, University & College Poetry Prize at Old Dominion University.

(And this is Renee from confirmed socials- a photo of a different woman with red lipstick is going around, but that was a classmate.)

Fact check:
✅Chicago's crime rate was already down
✅NG troops were never actually deployed in the city
✅Some did patrol a suburban immigration facility for just one day
✅We did have hundreds of federal agents here terrorizing the city & suburbs but Trump's guard plan in Chicago was foiled
Trump announces he’s pulling the National Guard from Portland, LA, and Chicago but threatens that “We will come back, perhaps in a much different and stronger form, when crime begins to soar again - Only a question of time!”
