The only thing that keeps me from switching over to this site permanently is the clearly better media quality on the other site. I’ve built up a very curated feed there, so I don’t get the nonsense, but I’d much prefer to just be here all the time. There are some things that are just better here.

Some days when I remember the performance of @benstarr.bsky.social in FF16, I recall the iconic shouts. Some days, I recall the conversation with the Bearer outside Eastpool, where Clive gives an old man a gift of new hope. The big moments give the game excitement, the small moments give it life.

Today I tried something different, and instead of creating mods, I made a tutorial for beginners on how to make a mod! It was a stressful thing but if you ever wanted to learn how to import clothes into cyberpunk, I got you covered!

Posing characters with a lot of bones can be a bit of a pain, so I implemented a sub bone tree import feature in the UUU (release soon) which allows you to import a subtree from a pose file. Left full pose, right I imported the bones from the spine 3 bone, rest stays as is :)

I was using @fransbouma.bsky.social’s awesome camera tools with God of War (2018) and came upon what I think is a forced limitation by the game/engine, but I’d appreciate some clarity if possible. When moving Kratos under a static camera, he is unable to turn, locked to the direction of the camera.

If a dev wanted to dive deeper into Cyberpunk 2077 modding, is it even a feasible idea to try and control a character’s full rig? I’m guessing it’s not, but I’ve seen custom rig mods can be loaded in. Shouldn’t it be possible to use that to expose some additional functionality to scripts & thus UI?

With all the updates to Cyberpunk 2077’s photo mode, I feel like @fransbouma.bsky.social is going to have his work cut out for him when he has time to work on updating the tools. Though rarely the case, I do hope that the changes make life easier for him instead of more difficult.

Loving what I saw of the features for 2.2 of Cyberpunk 2077 in the REDStream. I also love that they worked with a different studio to do so. I’m excited about what that means for the future.

I can only imagine keeping the Cyberpunk IP in front of people is desired between now and Orion’s release.
