Invalid answers do not invalidate the questions asked! The rise of MAGA with its attendant resentment, xenophobia, incompetence, and vandalism may distract us from the social questions in play, but degenerative, fascist answers make the questions even more pressing. 🧵

Having seized another sovereign country, we now need to recognize every Venezuelan as a U.S. national. After all, we will be “running the country.” If Venezuela is a protectorate, then its people are subjects of the United States.
It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.
It’s about oil and regime change.

This is the best response to our latest Presidential adventure.
It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.
The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.
