not entirely sure why forecasters wouldn’t expect the best selling game of all time (by far) to be able to get butts in seats, esp after the run game adaptations have had. each sonic movie has outperformed the last. mario broke $1b. on tv, tlou, arcane, fallout were critical successes. etc
A Minecraft Movie was projected to open to $65 million in North America the Monday before it opened.

It made $163 million.

I talked to the people responsible for forecasts to understand why -- and what it says about the modern film business.

Idk what this is but I hope these guys are dumb enough to try and release a government created chatbot to the general public at some point. It will be absolutely annihilated within minutes. It will make the Google glue pizza fiasco look like the most successful technology launch in history.

This could have cost $1B and I simply would not care. This show rules.
This story seems, at best, premature. Andor S1 has grown so much in esteem over the last two years that the S2 audience could grow substantially, much the same way Spider-Verse 2 nearly doubled the b.o. of Spider-Verse 1.

Also, Andor S2 was greenlit in the pre-bubble streaming era.…

It really does feel like YouTubers view YouTube as people’s only source of information and advertising. I don’t associate Honey with YouTube or influencers at all. I associate it way more with podcasters and and publishers. Interesting video, but the emphasis on YTers felt too small in scope.
The video focused on YouTube influencers as the victims here, but really this is ALL publishers. Buy an air fryer from the Wirecutter or sunscreen from The Strategist? Honey steals the affiliate cut
